From NS Trails: Friday September 15th – A hurricane watch has been issued for Digby, Yarmouth, Shelburne, Queens, Lunenburg, and Halifax Counties. Most of mainland Nova Scotia is now under a Tropical Storm Warning (except northern Nova Scotia and Colchester County north and south of Truro). Many of our trails will be closed while we wait for the storm to pass. Please respect all trail closures. They are for your own safety, and the safety of others.
LIST OF CLOSURES FOR HURRICANE LEE:
– All managed trails on Crown Land (includes Provincial rail trail) will be closed effective 7:00pm Friday September 15th, until further notice
– All trails in Wilderness Protected Areas will be closed effective 7:00pm Friday September 15th, until further notice
– All provincial campgrounds will close at 1:00 p.m. on Friday September 15th and provincial day-use parks and beaches will close by 7:00 p.m. on Friday September 15th. Provincial parks will be evaluated for damage and safety concerns before they reopen. Updates will be shared via the provincial parks website and social media on Monday September 18.
